HOT TAP
Hot Tapping is defined as using an under pressure drilling machine to cut a hole in an operating pipeline allowing for a new take off from the original pipe. This process is done without any product leakage or loss.

Before proceeding to Hot Tap, the following conditions should be satisfied:
The area to which a connection is to be made has been identified and physically marked.
The metal thickness has been measured and the absence of metal imperfections is verified.
A hot work permit has secured.
